Trish Roberson

Trish

As the featured vocalist of Nearly There, Trish demonstrates a genuine appreciation for the foundation and principles of music as a whole. Whether it's one person or 50,000 people, she wants a person to feel what she feels when she sings. Her heart filled, soulful voice seems to bring an uplifting emotional experience to fans. With Trish on stage, one can close their eyes, listen to the songs, and envision Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, or even Martina McBride on stage. Patsy, Linda, and Martina are all legendary artists that have influenced the music Trish sings and how she performs.

Trish is a native of Troup, TX. Her glowing personality is a reflection of the pride she has in being a working mom, wife, and an active participant in her community. Trish grew up in a family with exceptional musical talent and she developed a valuable understanding early in her life of the positive effect that music can have on families as well as the world. As Trish would say "Singing takes you to a place that absolutely matters." The way she sings, the songs she selects, her ability to express her feelings with a song to her audience - what a wonderful talent!

John Alexander

John

John is a native of Carthage, TX and currently lives in Bullard, TX. He plays guitar for Nearly There, as well as vocals. He was raised in a small, southern town atmosphere where he planted many of his musical roots. John has always been a hard worker and appreciates others that also work hard. He is a firm believer in paying your dues to be successful in life. You will find those values in the music he writes today.

As a child, John grew up working for the local veterinarian and now owns two veterinary practices. He learned how to play the acoustic guitar in high school. After high school and college, John worked as a cowboy in Texas and the mountains of New Mexico. The cowboy way of life, as well as the mountains have had an enormous effect on his desire of playing music and songwriting. Many artists have influenced John Alexander's music but the closest ones to his heart are Randy Owen (lead singer of Alabama), Alan Jackson, Don WIlliams, Radney Foster, and cowboy singer, R. W. Hampton.

If you asked John to describe his image of a real artist, his answer would be "Guitar, amp, mike, spotlight, and a stool. What else would they need?"

Personally, he enjoys his work as a veterinarian, playing music, and most of all being a proud father to his two children, Jody and Miranda. John enjoys working with people and has a desire to make a person feel better either through his music or by just being their friend. John Alexander believes in the music he writes. Each song has its own special meaning, as do all great songs. At the end of the day, when all the work is done, he just likes to have fun being a dad and a husband.
